MEZZI., Registration Number: 175124381 ("MEZZI"), a controller of personal data processing related to the use of MEZZI Services ("MEZZI Services").

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide information to MEZZI Service Users ("You" "Your", "You" "User") about the processing of Your personal data by MEZZI.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, I mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject").

All other terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning defined in the MEZZI Service Agreement.

1.1 Why we process your personal data

Your personal data are primarily processed for the purpose of providing the service - to accurately reflect information about MEZZI Scooters and your trips in the MEZZI App. In addition, the processing of personal data may be performed to analyze the performance of the MEZZI and to ensure the functioning and existence of the MEZZI, which may include the collection and analysis of statistics. MEZZI is a binding legal act that may create an obligation to process data for accounting and tax administration purposes.

1.2 Provision of services

Primarily, MEZZI processes your personal data for the purpose of providing the MEZZI Services, which includes:

A) The need to identify you as a party to the Agreement and to make sure that you have reached the minimum age required by the MEZZI Services Agreement to begin using the MEZZI Services;

B) The need to provide you with the ability to pay for MEZZI Services through the MEZZI Application;

C) Monitoring the performance of the MEZZI Service Agreement to ensure that the conditions are met, in particular with respect to the operation of the MEZZI Scooters;

D) A calculation of the charges for the MEZZI Services you use, including but not limited to the duration of the trips;

E) Route Tracking and MEZZI Scooter Location Monitoring to ensure that the use of MEZZI Scooters is in accordance with the terms of the Agreement, as well as to accurately reflect the location of the MEZZI Scooter in the MEZZI Application.

F) For these purposes, MEZZI carries out processing of personal data based on the processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1.3 MEZZI may process the following personal data for the purpose of providing MEZZI Services:

A) Information about your identity, including name, surname, personal identification number, address, date of birth;

B) Information about the MEZZI Services you have received - number, duration, date, estimated cost of the trip, departure and destination, route, time, distance traveled;

C) Contractual Compliance Information, including breach of contract information, breach of contract, including but not limited to leaving the MEZZI Scooter unauthorized, damage to the MEZZI Scooter, defects caused by it, and any other information related to the contract execution;

D) Information about the location from which the MEZZI Scooter is received, the journey and the departure of the MEZZI Scooter.

1.4 Customer identification and fraud prevention

A) To prevent and minimize fraud and to properly identify you, MEZZI requires you to upload a photo of your ID. This way, MEZZI can verify your identity and the accuracy of the information you provide.

B) Your name, surname, personal identification number (date of birth) and document number are recorded for the conclusion of the MEZZI Service Agreement. In contrast, the uploaded image is processed solely at your registration as a User and is not processed after your identification has been completed.

1.5 Providing and analyzing MEZZI performance

MEZZI processes your personal data to ensure the operation of the MEZZI, as well as to analyze the performance, which includes:

A) Collecting information about trips, their regularity, driving zones, and locations where you and other users start and finish your MEZZI Scooter Rental;

B) Gathering, analyzing and transferring information within a group of companies and to MEZZI owners;

C) For these purposes, the MEZZI shall process personal data based on the processing of personal data - Article 6 (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1.6 Enforcement of regulatory enactments

A) MEZZI is a binding regulatory enactment that includes, inter alia, accounting, tax administration, and other regulations. For these purposes, MEZZI may store and process your personal data for proper MEZZI accounting as well as for making necessary tax payments.

1.7 Location determination for use of MEZZI Services

A) Occasionally, location is used to detect requests for MEZZI Scooters at a specific location. The following information is used by MEZZI to plan and analyze the deployment of MEZZI Scooters in the city.

B) For such purposes, location data shall be used, with your consent, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. You may revoke this consent at any time by modifying the settings of your device and disabling the use of the location functionality for the MEZZI App.

1.8 Marketing and customer service improvement

A) We may use your contact information to send you commercial communications related to the MEZZI Services, unless you have informed the MEZZI (via email or otherwise) when you register with the MEZZI App that you do not want your contact information to be used for marketing purposes. The following communications are intended to enable MEZZI to communicate news and current affairs relating to the MEZZI Services

B) You will be given the opportunity to opt out of receiving further commercial communications upon receipt of each MEZZI commercial communication.

C) In addition, MEZZI may process your personal data to improve the quality of service, which includes the storage of requests received through the MEZZI Services, which includes your telephone, email, letter or social networking requests, which allows you to respond more effectively and accurately to your requests, suggestions and changes and to fulfill your requests.

D) The processing of your contact information for marketing purposes and the processing of communication information for service enhancement are based on Article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1.9 To whom we transfer your personal data

Your personal data may be transferred to: 

A) The Payment System Provider, if required to provide payments through the MEZZI Application, to enable you to pay for MEZZI Services;

B) MEZZI service providers such as accounting, business consultants, auditors, outsourcing lawyers;

C) Debt Collectors who will collect your debt on our behalf in the event of late payment for the MEZZI Services;

D) To the public authorities, upon request, if they are bound by the MEZZI;

E) To authorities conducting administrative or criminal prosecution to the extent prescribed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia;

F)Other authorities, when required to defend the legitimate interests of the MEZZI.

2.0 How long we keep your personal data

A) The duration of storage of personal data depends on the purpose of the processing. Below is the procedure for determining the shelf life:

B) Data processed in connection with the provision of MEZZI Services shall be retained for the duration of the MEZZI Service Agreement. Separate Categories of Data - information regarding payment and received MEZZI Services, may be retained by MEZZI for 10 years after termination of the MEZZI Service Agreement as a result of the statutory limitation period during which claims for performance of the MEZZI Service Agreement may be pursued;

C) Image processing of your ID is performed to identify you as a party to the MEZZI Service Agreement. After the identification has been completed and the required identification data have been recorded, the image of your identity document will be deleted.

2.1 Your rights and contact information

A) You have the right to opt out of processing your data for marketing purposes by contacting MEZZI and registering your choice when registering with the MEZZI App. In addition, you will have the opportunity to opt out of receiving further commercial communications with each commercial communication.

B) Also, you have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your location data at any time in the settings of your device.

C) If you wish to contact MEZZI regarding your data protection issues and to exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including access to your personal data, rectification of your personal data, requesting their deletion, you must send a request to mezzi.service@hotmail.com .

2.1 Third party services

A) You may also use the services of other third parties to use the MEZZI Services. Please note that when using third party services in connection with the MEZZI Services, such third parties are responsible for processing your personal data, including determining the purpose and types of processing.

2.2 Transfer of data outside the European Union

A) The payment system provider used by MEZZI may transfer your personal data related to making payments in the MEZZI App outside the European Union. In the event of such a transfer, the safeguards set forth in the General Data Protection Regulation shall be guaranteed - the recipient of the data shall be subject to the Privacy Shield.

B) In order to obtain a copy of the personal data you submit, you must submit a request to the MEZZI by sending the information to the MEZZI email address specified in this policy.

2.3 Security of personal data

MEZZI uses technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data processed from being tampered with, lost, destroyed or accessed by unauthorized persons. MEZZI is constantly improving its security measures as technology advances.

2.4 Modification of Privacy Policy

The Lessor reserves the right to make changes to the applicable Privacy Policy and to inform the User of any changes. Any updated version of the Privacy Policy shall be deemed to be notified if it is notified in the MEZZI App and the change information is sent to the email you provide. The updated version will be published in the MEZZI App.
